Being part of the PVH Menswear division, the Merchandising team fulfills a central role being a pivotal function between the Wholesale and Retail channels, Design and Product Development.
The Merchandising team manages collection KPI's by creating the range plans for the different seasons, setting margin targets and is closely involved together with Design and Product Development in building appropriate collections true to the Brand, in tune with market developments and latest trends.
The Internship will contain the following tasks:
• Analyze and provide competitor overviews for defined product categories, showing their offer and price build up, online as well as off line. • Assist the Merchandising team to create relevant sales & collection analyses; eg. per country, average selling price, margin, fit, fabrics, etc. • Consolidate and work with PLM system keeping track of the collection development - highlighting irregularities in pricing, costing, count, flow, needs • Support Merchandising Team with other tasks when needed (i.e: ad hoc analyses, additions, sales tools, and requests from sales, marketing or other departments…) • Assist to and help preparing all collection Key meetings (GAM, Market Launch, proto reviews, product reviews) • MSW Division will support candidate's thesis and/or project related work. Any time management requirements related to this can be pre-planned accordingly at onset of internship.
• Study at HBO level or equivalent • The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU. • Start date: July 2018. Duration is 6 months. • It is a requirement that the candidate is still enrolled in a university or school program. • Interest in Mens Collections, industry and competitors landscape • Fluent in English - additional languages are a plus • Excellent knowledge of, and skilled in, MS PP and MS Excel (pivot tables, reports with big amounts of data) • Ability to work in a hectic environment • Sensitivity to product and Sportswear trends • High productivity is demanded, able to work with deadlines • Commercial mindset • Team player
